The HP Designjet L25500 is a 60" roll to roll printer based on HP's revolutionary Latex ink technology.

Latex Ink

Designed with the environment in mind, Latex ink is an alternative to Eco-Solvent roll to roll printing. HP Latex inks emit no VOC's, do not produce ozone emissions while printing, and contain no hazardous air polutants.

What Latex ink does deliver is long lasting, durable prints that withstand the elements while providing sharp, vivid image quality. Outdoor prints produced with HP Latex inks can achieve display permanence up to three years unlaminated, and are scratch, smudge and water resistant on a range of different media.

What are VOCs?

Volatile Organic Compounds are, in simple terms, chemical fumes. The term encompasses many different types of chemicals, but as it relates to printing the most common is solvent fumes. Long term exposure to high concentrations of solvent fumes can cause adverse health effects—in addition to just smelling bad. VOCs released into the environment react with nitrous oxides to form ozone, which is a precursor to smog.
